PERENNIALS:
(definition/ n 2: persisting for several years usu. with new herbaceous growth from a perennating part

We will have a wonderful selection of exciting , new introductions and familiar favorites all carefully selected to be hardy in our area.

Spokane is now classified by USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) as Zone 6 (average winter temperatures of –10F). Keep in mind certain areas have micro-climates that can vary from this norm.

This year our perennials will be grouped in different areas depending on whether they like sun or shade. This will aid customers in determining where in their garden to plant their newly found treasures. The selections are normally aligned alphabetically by their botanic names, but if Latin isn't your thing, just ask one of our friendly staff for whatever it is you’re looking for. They are bilingual ; speak both languages and are there to help you.

We try to bring in well-developed plant material, usually in bloom so you can see what colors are available, and you get instant gratification when planting. If the plant you like is not in bloom, just ask our staff and they will be happy to help. They also may suggest great plant combinations to go with what you’ve already selected or what you already have in the garden. Just ask!

GRASSES: Not your regular lawn grass (although we do carry the seeds if you need help with your lawn). These are grasses that have ornamental qualities, are mostly drought tolerant; easy to care for, plus they add great, winter interest and food for our feathered friends.

Included are:

    • Native grasses
    • Clumping grasses
    • Running, ground cover grasses
    • Grasses for sun or shade
    • Grasses for containers and water gardens
