• Make sure the pot is large enough. Too small a container will dry out faster and the plant’s roots, if crowded, can suffer from summer’s heat.
  
  
• Is the container for outdoors or indoors? Some ceramic and terra cotta pots will crack in freezing temperatures. Check with our staff for advice on which planters are best to use.
  
  
• Is the weight of the planter an issue? Large ceramic containers can be heavy. Even on rollers, this might not be practical if you have to negotiate steps.
  
  
• What type of plants do you want to grow? Our friendly staff will help you match the container to the plant.
